September 2022 - Alan's 42nd Birthday Fundraiser

Dear Alan’s Legacy friends, 

As you know, funds donated to Alan's Legacy have been used to support Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. We are thrilled to announce that In September 2022, we were able to make another $4,000 contribution to CHOP towards our goal. We received a thank you from CHOP that you can read here as well as a more info about their immunotherapy program we are supporting.

Back in 2018, we received this note thanking us for our support towards their Cellular Immunotherapy Fund.  We were delighted this week to received notice that Emily Whitehead, now 17, is celebrating 10 years cancer free!  Emily was the first child to receive revolutionary CAR T therapy at CHOP, and you can learn more about her story here.

After reaching our initial goal of raising $20,000 for the Children Hospital of Philadelphia , we are still working to meet our new contribution goal of $45,000. Although much progress has happened in the field, there is still much more work to do and much more funding is needed. This additional contribution will push researching and progress forward to find cures for childhood cancer. Thank you all for continued support our important mission in Alan's name.
